Students transferring to Calvin for the fall semester attend either PASSPORT III or QUEST. Students decide which of these two programs they’d like to attend.
PASSPORT is a two-day summer program designed for you as an adult family member as well as your new student. Learn about Calvin through seminars and discussions that highlight the range of opportunities and services for your student.
Please note that while we welcome younger family members to PASSPORT, Orientation is not geared towards siblings. If you do register siblings to attend, please note they will be attending the parent portion of PASSPORT.
At PASSPORT you will:
- Learn about services the college provides
- Become familiar with the college’s vision and curriculum
- Attend a variety of interesting workshops and model classes
- Meet other family members and examine what this time of transition means for you as a family
QUEST is the fall, three-and-a-half day orientation program that takes place prior to the start of classes. After helping your student move in, plan to participate in afternoon events especially for family members. Don’t miss the Parent Oasis tent (sponsored by the Parent Relations Office), the worship service at 4:00 p.m., and the cookout at 5. Following dinner, send your student off to start the first semester at Calvin!
