The Fred Knapp Trio
The Fred Knapp Trio is one of the busiest professional jazz groups in Michigan and is led by drummer and composer Fred Knapp. The trio focuses on creating fresh arrangements of classic standards using many different musical styles from around the world. Fred received his musical training at the Grand Rapids Community College and Western Michigan University where he studied both piano and drums. Pianist, Dave Proulx, also received his training from WMU and has a degree in both Classical and Jazz performance. Bassist, Dave Rosin, has both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from MSU and teaches orchestra in the Lansing school district.
