What if I only want to hear one of the evening concerts, not attend the whole Festival?
A limited number of public tickets will be available apart from Festival passes for concerts through the Calvin College Box Office (616.526.6282 or secure
online order form). You can secure your spot for all concerts now by registering
for the Festival, or you can join the FFM
e-mail list to get updates about when individual tickets for that concert might be available. There may be public tickets for other Festival events as well, which will be announced as events are confirmed. For more information, see the Student
Activities Office web site. The usual event discount for Calvin students, faculty and staff is only available by registering for the Festival.
Do I need to purchase tickets for the concerts if I have registered for FFM 2013?
No. Your Festival registration allows you to attend all concerts that take place Thursday, Friday and Saturday during the April 7-9 Festival.
Is there assigned seating for the concerts?
At this date, all FFM events are general admission. This is subject to change as events and locations become confirmed.
Do high school students get the student rate? What if I want to combine a
college visit with attendance at the festival?
High school students can register for FFM at the $75 student rate (or $65 before 12/31/10). If you would like to learn more about Calvin while you're here for the Festival, the admissions office would be glad to help you. There is a Fridays at Calvin event that weekend, for which you can register
separately online. You would receive on-campus housing in the dorms and meal tickets for the duration of your stay. Also, if you would like to schedule a personalized visit with an admissions counselor on Thursday, April 3, please call the admissions office at (800) 688-0122.
I'm not a student, but can I still get on-campus housing?
We are only able to offer free on-campus housing to current high school and undergraduate students and that availability may also be limited. Those who are not eligible should seek shelter elsewhere. Please visit the accommodations
page for more information.
How do you decide whom to invite?
Our Mission Statement will give you a good idea of what shapes our decisions. We are always eager for your suggestions. Contact
us with any comments or ideas for people you'd like to see invited to future festivals. New bands that are interested in participating should consider entering the bandspotting new music spotlight.
How can I get updates about the Festival?
You can sign up for FFM
News, our e-mail newsletter, and we will update you about
the Festival about once a week.
What is the schedule for FFM 2013?
You can now view a schedule for FFM 2013 (subject
to change).
How do I register myself?
You can register by going directly to the secure, online
registration form. You may also download
a printable version of the registration form and mail
it to us.
How do I register a group?
You can register
a group online or you can fill out a printable
group registration form and mail it to us.
Groups of four or more non-students registering together can receive the
$75 student rate; contact us for the discount
code to use for your group registration. There is no group discount
for students, but student groups may take advantage of the early registration
rate of $65 before 12/31/10.
Is there an early registration discount?
Regular registrations received or postmarked on or before 12/31/10 receive a discounted rate of $100 (regularly $125). Student registrations received or postmarked on or before 12/31/10 receive a discounted rate of $65 (regularly $75).
How much is registration if I can only attend festival for one day?
The Festival rate is such a good deal already that we are not able to provide reduced registrations for people who can only attend FFM 2013 for one day. Full registration is required to attend Festival sessions.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you are unable to attend the Festival and notify us by March 1, 2013, we will refund 75% of your registration fee. After March 1, 2013, we will not issue refunds. Requests must be received in writing (either by postal or electronic mail). Please include your full mailing address.
