Mary McCampbell
Mary McCampbell is a native Memphian who loves Elvis (of course), punk rock and Douglas Coupland. Having recently completed her PhD at the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne in the UK, she is now living on the even more foreign (i.e. snowy) terrain of Grand Rapids where she is assistant professor of English at Calvin College. Her recent research and publications focus on the interrelation of the religious impulse and popular culture, including analyses of the novels of Douglas Coupland, Bret Easton Ellis and Chuck Palahniuk, as well as examinations of the emergence of faith discussions on indie rock blogs.
