Grant Elgersma is an adjunct professor at Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, Illinois, where he has taught classes in philosophy, theology, the history of rock music and songwriting. He is a founding member of *culture is not optional and a regular contributor to the organization’s bi-weekly online journal, catapult magazine. Grant lives in Chicago where he has been exploring the relationship of faith and music-making with the band OVERHANG, which recently broke up. His current project aims to subvert the music-as-product model that has dominated modern society in the recording era.
