David Perkins

As a guitarist, songwriter, and record producer, David Perkins has been associated with a number of America’s great musicians and performers. His own musical work both as a solo artist and in bands such as Chagall Guevara has received critical acclaim. Dave studied religion and culture at Vanderbilt University, earned the Master of Divinity degree and is a now a Ph.D. candidate and a Fellow at Vanderbilt’s Center for the Study of Religion and Culture. He currently serves as Administrative Director for Vanderbilt’s Religion in the Arts and Contemporary Culture program. Pistol City Holiness, Dave’s new album of high-velocity blues-rock, is set for release this spring.
