Update: The RIT course has been revised. It is now the Fundamentals of Information Technology (FIT).

This web site provides information on the work of the ad-hoc Research and Information Technology Committee appointed by Provost Carpenter to develop the Research & Information Technology core course. This is one of three ad-hoc committees working on components of the new core curriculum at Calvin College (to begin in Fall, 2001). The RIT Committee delivered its course proposal to the Core Curriculum committee on February 11, 2000. It was approved (with minor editorial changes) by the Core Curriculum committee on February 29, 2000. Educational Policy Committee approved the proposal on April 4, 2000.
