Transcript Request

CURENT STUDENTS ***Transcripts with Fall 2009 semester grades***

  • We are now accepting transcript requests to be held for Fall 209 final grades.
  • Please make note of this under the HOLD OPTIONS on the request form.
  • Transcripts with these final grades will be sent on Monday January 4, 2010.
  • If January 4 is after your application deadline, please fill out the Transcript Deadline Notification form, requesting a letter be sent on your behalf for late transcripts. This letter will be sent out within 2 business days. Please have these forms turned in before December 22nd.

Official and Unofficial Transcripts

Official transcripts

  • Are printed on special watermarked Calvin transcript paper
  • Are signed and imprinted
  • Are mailed or picked up in a sealed envelope
  • Have a $5 per transcript fee
Unofficial transcripts
  • Are printed on white paper
  • Have no official imprints, signatures or seals
  • May be faxed, e-mailed or mailed
  • Are free of charge

Request a Transcript

If you are a current student, you can

  • print your own unofficial transcript through Knight Vision
  • request an official through a signed transcript request form

If you are an alumni, you can

  • stop in for an unofficial transcript
  • use a signed transcript request form for unofficial and/or official transcripts

Standard processing time in our office is 1 business day; first class mail may take 2-3 days.

Payment

We accept payment in the form of cash or check. If you are a current student, we can bill your miscellaneous account.

Mail / in person – please pay at the time of request

Fax / e-mail – please send a payment in the mail with a copy of your request (please write ' payment' across the top of the page so that it is obvious that it is not a new request). Your transcript will be sent prior to receiving payment as long as you do not have a financial hold from a previous obligation.

If you do not send a payment within 2 weeks, we will send a bill to your home address.

Financial holds

If you have outstanding debt to the college from tuition, previous unpaid transcript requests, or overdue miscellaneous accounts, your transcript will not be sent. If you do have a hold on your account, we will call to notify you that a this financial hold is preventing the release of your transcript. To remove the hold you will need to contact Rana Huisman in the financial services office and let us know as soon as the debt is cleared so that we can finish processing your request.

Urgent requests

The transcript request form allows you to notify us of any urgent processing that you request. The fees listed below are in addition to the $5 transcript fee and are applied per address/order (not per transcript).

  • Rush processing – may be requested, in person, during regular business hours, $5
  • Overnight via Fed Ex within the US – must be received by 1p.m. Eastern time, $12
  • Rush to Canada via Fed Ex – must be received by 1p.m. Eastern time, $15.50
    • Other countries will vary, please call to confirm
