A maximum of 32 semester hours may be obtained through the transfer of non-classroom-based credit. Students may not take more than two Interim courses in a single department. Interim and semester courses which meet off campus normally require special application in advance of registration. Veterans will receive credit, as recommended by the American Council on Education, for liberal arts courses taken through the USAFI and for a maximum of nine semester hours taken by correspondence courses from accredited universities in the program. Several school are listed on the Calvin web site with a list of equivalent courses. This list contains local schools as well as schools often used for transfer credit by Calvin students. If your school is not in the list, we will still accept credit. Filling out a Transfer Credit Pre-Approval Form will help you know whether or not your course will transfer for the purpose you intend.
