Possible Exemption

Possible Foreign Language Exemption: Students who have taken at least 4 years of high school level foreign language (with a grade of C or better for each high school term) are exempt from Calvin's requirement. Students who have taken less than 4 years, should take a language placement test to determine how many semesters of college level foreign language will be required.

Beginning the Fall Semester of 2005: For students in the following programs, Accounting, Engineering, Nursing, Recreation, and the Visual Arts, one year of college language is required. Students who have taken at least 2 years of high school level foreign language (with a grade of C or better for each term) are exempt from the language requirement in these five programs.
