Business Reply Mail

Publishing Services has the approved graphics needed for U.S. and Canadian business reply mail (BRM) as well as Calvin's non-profit bulk mail inditia. For more information on BRM see the U.S. Postal Service or Canada Post websites.

CD Covers/Traycards

Publishing Services has produced several CD & DVD packages for Calvin organizations. CD packages usually contain a front booklet or card, a back traycard, and artwork for the CD face. Some CD mastering can be done through the Office of Conference and Campus Events. Advanced Duplication Services (ADS) is a vendor that has been used on several occasions for its duplication and insertion service.

Department Newsletters

Many of Calvin's academic departments send out regular department newsletters. Most are printed in 2 colors (usually black plus a Calvin palette color) though a few have been printed in 4-color process, and a few are printed in black at Calvin Printing Services. Newsletters can be anywhere from 2 to 12 pages in length.

Starting with text files and images, Publishing Services provides full design services and facilitates printing. Departments may get mailing labels or may send newsletters to Kent Communications Inc. for addressing and mailing.

The Calvin Alumni Association helps offset the cost of department newsletters and provides the mailing labels and lists.

Name Badges

Calvin has a name badge template set up at Engrave and Graphic. Call them at 245-8082 and provide the necessary information.

Notecards

Calvin has a standard template for 3.5" x 5.5" notecards. There are three levels of quality: off-campus printed, on-campus color, and on-campus black and white.

Notepads

Publishing Services also has a template for 5.5" x 8.5" notepads. Calvin notepads are usually printed in maroon or black ink on ivory stock in Printing Services with 100 sheets per pad.

Photographic Prints

Calvin Instructional Graphics provides some photographic prints and services. Metro 1-Hour Photo in Breton Village can also make prints from digital files submitted through their website.
