The Mentoring Process
Three faculty, representing each of Calvin's academic divisions, serve as faculty mentors in the area of research and scholarship, along with the dean for research and scholarship.
If you are interested in meeting with one or more of these faculty members, please refer to the following mentoring protocol:
- Read the following descriptions of the types of activities in which individual mentors have been involved, and decide with whom you would like to meet. Any one of these mentors is able to help on general five year plans and strategies for developing a scholarship life (as well as a "balanced" life).
- Send Matt Walhout, dean for research and scholarship an e-mail with a request for a meeting with a particular mentor.
- This mentor will then contact you in order to arrange a time to meet.
- In preparation for the meeting, please read the linked worksheet and bring the requested materials.
