For Calvin Faculty

Each year one member of the Calvin College faculty will be selected to give the Calvin lectures, which will be presented in a number of venues in North America and Europe. During the academic year, the lecturer receives a one-course reduction each semester and also is freed from normal interim teaching duties. In return, the lecturer prepares and gives public lectures and seminars for a variety of venues at approximately six universities in North America and a two or three in Europe.

Collaborative Effort

The selection of sites for presenting lectures is made in cooperation with CRC Home Missions Educational Missions for North America, L’Abri, and other European contacts Calvin has cultivated. The lecturer is also responsible for developing the lecture materials into a short book to be published in a series.

The Calvin Worldview Lectureship is jointly sponsored by Calvin College and the campus ministries arm of the Christian Reformed Church Board of Home Missions.
