Associate / Assistant Professor of Spanish

Pending administrative approval, Calvin College welcomes applications for a tenure track position in Spanish linguistics beginning in fall 2010.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities are teaching seven classes per year (three per semester and a January term), including required courses in language, as well as upper-level courses in Spanish linguistics for majors and minors, along with advising and committee work.

Qualifications

The position requires a PhD or advanced ABD, native or near native command of Spanish, a serious commitment to scholarship, and willingness to direct semester programs abroad and/or teach courses in second language acquisition, ESL methodology, or bilingual education.
