About the CAS Department

We look for people who have a sense of humor, who relish the opportunity to teach at a strong Christian liberal arts college that encourages and supports scholarly and creative enterprise, and are good enough to make a strong department even better.

About Calvin

Calvin is on a two-semester academic calendar, with a January interim term. The standard teaching load is 21-22 semester hours annually. Faculty members typically teach three courses during the fall and spring semesters, and one course during the January interim term. With a faculty of 20, we are large enough so that teaching assignments usually cover a reasonable range of courses.

Calvin expects all faculty members to affirm and promote its Reformed (Calvinistic) Christian perspective. We particularly invite applications from those who will strengthen us by increasing the ethnic range of our department. Application Process

Review of applications begins November 16, 2009 and continues until the position is filled. Applicants must submit an application letter, curriculum vitae, three letters of recommendation, and evidence of excellent teaching.
