Positions in Education

The education department is looking for colleagues to join a team that is engaged in preparing undergrad and graduate students to provide excellent teaching in a demanding but exciting age. Join a faculty committed to the integration of social justice, and service. We seek persons to fill two tenure track positions beginning fall 2009

Duties

Engage in teaching, scholarship, advising, and service. Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in one or more of the following areas: Sociology of Education; Curriculum and Instruction (K-8); Special Education; (Cognitive Impairment and/or Learning Disabilities); Supervision of Field and Clinical Experiences (K-8); Social Studies (K-8).

Qualifications

Earned Doctorate (or ABD) in Education; P-12 teaching or research experience; scholarship agenda; commitment to social justice and to the mission of the college within the Reformed tradition of Christianity.
