Social Work: tenure-track

Calvin College invites applications for two tenure track positions in Social Work (pending administrative approval), beginning September 2008.  Rank is open and depends on candidate experience.

Requirements: 

The ideal candidate will hold a DSW or Ph.D. in Social Work or related field, a MSW from a CSWE-accredited school with two years practice experience, and evidence of university/college teaching, scholarly activities and research.  Strong candidates who hold a MSW from a CSWE-accredited school with two years experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities: 

Applicants will be expected to teach courses as assigned in the Social Work Program, participate in research and scholarly activities, provide academic advising to students, engage in service to the college and community, and participate in Social Work Program and college committee work.  Teaching assignments are likely to be in the policy, practice, HBSE, and practicum sequences.
