Math & Statistics: Temporary

The Calvin College Department of Mathematics and Statistics invites applications for one or two one-year temporary positions to begin in the fall of 2008, pending administrative approval.

Qualifications:

The department seeks candidates who demonstrate strong commitment to excellence in both undergraduate teaching and scholarship. Applicants should have or be completing a Ph.D. in mathematics or statistics.

About the Department:

The department has 14 full-time faculty members and graduates approximately 20 mathematics majors per year, about half of them in the secondary education program. Five graduates are currently enrolled in PhD programs, four in mathematics and one in statistics. Over 400 students from a variety of academic programs take courses in statistics each year.
