Calvin College invites applications
for a tenure-track position in French (pending administrative approval), beginning September
2008. Rank is open and depends on the candidate’s experience.
Qualifications:
Ph.D., native or near-native
proficiency in French and English, proven excellence in undergraduate teaching, and a promising
research program. The candidate will have the ability to teach all levels of language, literature,
and culture courses. A specialization in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:
Francophone literatures and cultures, specifically African and Caribbean, French for the professions,
and linguistics. Experience or interest in leading study abroad programs preferred.
