Race Relations through the Arts

Race Relations throught the ArtsOver the course of six weeks the Spring 2009 R & R Reading Group, instead of focusing on a single book, will explore messages of race relations in the United States as represented in the arts. The Arts encompasses visual arts, literature, the performing arts, including music, drama, film, dance and related media, and by some definitions other areas such as fashion.  Art often speaks louder than words and taps into emotions that are not always easily expressed.
