Energy and Emissions, Calvin and Carbon: Where are We Heading? Where are You Heading?

One recent topic of study has been energy use and carbon dioxide emissions by the campus. Prof. Matt Heun discussed recent CEAP class projects that have addressed questions such as:

What energy savings could be realized at Calvin?

What would it take to get Calvin off the grid?

How could we make a significant impact on Calvin's campus using wind energy?
-
What would it take for Calvin to reach carbon neutrality?
All of which leads one to consider Calvin's institutional responsibility regarding climate change and what the campus should do to fulfill that responsibility. And, what are our individual responsibilities regarding climate change? What should we be doing? Prof. Heun has some suggestions for both.
