Welcoming Diversity

Calvin faculty and administrators with faculty status have a unique opportunity now through the month of March 2012 to participate in an online program called Welcoming Diversity. Welcoming Diversity is an experiential tool designed by NEW Media Learning. The program begins with a brief introduction to the concept of diversity, reviews the ideas of bias and good intent, summarizes levels of diversity acceptance, and concludes with an exploration of respectful communication. The program incorporates several interactive scenarios to test comprehension. The Office of the Provost is test driving this online tool for future use. Your participation and feedback is appreciated.

Participants who complete the online training will receive a certificate of completion and will be entered into a monthly drawing for lunch for their entire department. This activity will count as a FEN related activity. To participate, click the Welcoming Diversity program link.
