The Green Cleaning Program
The Green Cleaning Program was first adopted, for the entire campus, in 2004. Since then, the Green Cleaning Program has become a gradual process that is implemented as far as the budgetary restrictions will allow. Some of the changes include:
The purchase of green cleaning chemicals that are either Green Seal or Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certified.
The purchase of reusable microfiber cloths and mops that replace disposable cloths or paper towels in all but a few unique circumstances.
Entryway floor mats made of recycled materials are used to reduce the tracking of mud, dirt, and other substances that can increase the need for cleaning.
The purchase of green cleaning equipment certified for efficiency and quality.
Student residents are provided with Green Seal glass cleaner and disinfectant to use for the cleaning of their designated living space.
- The purchase of toilet tissue and hand paper towels that meet EPA standards for post consumer waste recycled content.
- Paper Towels- 40%
- Bathroom Tissue- 20%
