Multicultural Student Advisory Board (MSAB)

MSAB Mission Statement
"The Multicultural Student Advisory Board, in response to God’s vision of Christian community, seeks to bring about racial reconciliation and an appreciation of diversity by fostering communication, awareness, and cross cultural relationships at Calvin and beyond."

MSAB membersMSAB serves as a channel for dialogue and exploration on the topics of racial and cultural issues. The goal is to increase reconciliation and decrease racism. MSAB meets once a week for the purpose of creating programs and events for the aforementioned goals. Some of the programs and events include sponsoring panel discussions, arranging lectures, and planning chapels. MSAB also plans and leads “UNLEARN” Week activities at Calvin. This is a week that is specifically focused on ways to raise awareness on stereotypical beliefs that have been learned and dispel them. The goal is to give everyone an opportunity to more fully understand the sin of learned racism and how to give Christ-like love to all people.
