Multicultural Student Advisory Board (MSAB) MSAB Mission Statement MSAB
serves as a channel for dialogue and exploration on the topics of racial
and cultural issues. The goal is to increase reconciliation and decrease
racism. MSAB meets once a week for the purpose of creating programs and
events for the aforementioned goals. Some of the programs and events include
sponsoring panel discussions, arranging lectures, and planning chapels.
MSAB also plans and leads “UNLEARN” Week activities at Calvin. This is a week that is specifically focused
on ways to raise awareness on stereotypical beliefs that have been learned
and dispel them. The goal is to give everyone an opportunity to more fully
understand the sin of learned racism and how to give Christ-like love
to all people. |
