General Information
The Multicultural Student Development Office sponsors
and co-sponsors a number of events and speakers throughout the academic
year. The goal is two-fold 1) Raise awareness on issues concerning racism
and 2) Seek ways to combat racism once awareness has been established.
The hope is that once individuals are equipped
with the appropriate tools of understanding, they will recognize and examine
stereotypical messages that have been promoted within different sectors
of a community and find ways to dispel the power of these stereotypical
messages.
