FEDERAL TAXES · W-4

  • Use your home address
  • Claim "0" if you are a dependent of your parents and they claim you as an exemption on their taxes.
  • Claim "1" if your parents are not claiming you as an exemption

MICHIGAN TAXES · MI W-4

  • Use your home address
  • Claim "0" if your parents claim you as their dependent on their MICHIGAN state taxes.
  • Claim "1" if your parents are not claiming you and you plan on making over $2,500 in the State of Michigan during the year.
  • Claim "exempt" if you are a resident of a state that has a reciprocal agreement with the State of Michigan (Illinois · Indiana · Ohio · Kentucky · Minnesota · Wisconsin) OR if you will not earn $2,500 during the year.

GRAND RAPIDS CITY TAX · GR W-4

  • Everyone who works at Calvin College pays city taxes. There are no exceptions.
  • Use your home address
  • Claim "1" if your parents do not live in Grand Rapids
  • Claim "0" if your parents claim you as a dependent.

FEDERAL I-9 · I-9 FORM

  • Fill out the information at the top of the form through "employee signature".
  • Use your home address
  • Be prepared to show the required identification listed on the back of the form. One document from list "A" or one document from "B" and "C" MUST be shown. This is a FEDERAL REQUIREMENT FOR ALL EMPLOYEES .
