November 13: Memory Screening
November is Alzheimer's awareness month. Our EAP, Pine Rest will be on campus offering memory screenings geared towards ages 50 and over, but open to anyone who has concerns about their memory. We will have 3 stations set up in the Commons Lecture Hall for staff, faculty, spouses, parents and retirees to meet with a Pine Rest representative who will facilitate screening assessments that include a short interview and administration of a cognitive function screening tool.
The whole process takes roughly 30 minutes. Any problems are reviewed with you and any family members who accompany you; referrals to primary care physicians for follow up are made, if needed. Healthy Habits is offering a 0.5 credit for participation in the screening.
