Glen Oaks East Leadership Opportunities

At Glen Oaks East Apartments we are looking for five students interested in living in an off campus neighborhood and serving on a leadership team to promote community, spiritual formation, social activities, and environmental stewardship.

Positions:

  • Spiritual Formation Coordinator: would be in charge of putting together Bible studies and taking groups to different lectures/series on campus and in the community.
  • Social Activities Coordinator: would be in charge of coordinating once a month social activities for students and write a weekly electronic newsletter to send to the students with up coming events, etc.
  • After School Program Coordinator: would be in charge of coordinating the after school program for the children of Glen Oaks East.
  • Envrionmental Stewardship Coordinator: would be in charge of coordinating environmental stewardship efforts to make GOE a more eco-friendly living community.

Compensation:

  • Student leaders will be compensated for their efforts with a monthly $50 rent credit

Requirements:

  • Student must be living in Glen Oaks East Apartments and have at least a 9 month lease
  • Student must be able to make weekly meetings with other members of the leadership team and must spend a minimum of 2 hours a week in their focus (this includes attending programs, events, Bible studies, etc.)
  • Positions are a year commitment
  • We would encourage students who are on the leadership team to also consider being a shuttle driver. This is a great way to get to know the students living in Glen Oaks East. Shuttle drivers are paid separate from the leadership compensation.
