B.S., Wheaton College; B.S.N., Columbia University, M.S.N., Grand Valley State University Nancy has been Director of Health Services since 1998. She is a certified Women's Health Nurse Practitioner with expertise and interest in women's health and wellness issues. She manages the day-to-day operations of the health center and serves on a variety of leadership and planning teams for the college and the Student Life Division. She has a strong interest in social justice and an abiding love for all God's creatures, great and small. |

She has a strong interest in faith and mental health issues; God’s creation; integration of physical, psychological, and spiritual health; and music. She is an active member and an elder at Madison Square Christian Reformed Church. |

B.S.N., Grand Valley State University; M.S.N., Michigan State University. After attending Calvin, Jayne completed her nursing degree at Grand Valley State University. She has worked as a nurse at both Blodgett and Butterworth Hospitals and taught briefly at the Blodgett School of Nursing. She also worked at the Hope College Health Clinic. After completing her masters and becoming certified as a family nurse practitioner in 1998 Jayne worked as a family nurse practitioner in Holland, MI until she joined us at Health Services in 2005. Jayne is interested and experienced in the broad range of health issues that present in primary care. She is an active member of Christ Memorial Church in Holland. She enjoys out of door activities including biking and skiing. She is a member of the Sexual Assault Prevention Team. |

Calvin (ex '97); B.S., GVSU; R.N. and M.S.N., Vanderbilt University Leslie is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner who is working in our primary care clinic every Monday afternoon and all day Tuesday during the school year. Her past experience includes working in a private OB/GYN practice where she provided primary care to women with a focus on mental health, headache management, and dermatology. Leslie enjoyed doing part of her past clinical training at the Vanderbilt University Student Health Center. She participates in music and women's ministries at Ridgeport Community Church in Holland and has volunteered in Ecuador. Her personal interests are outdoor activities, cooking, the arts, and spending time with her husband and daughter. |

B.S., Calvin College; M.D., Indiana University Dr. Vander Linde sees students for medical appointments on Monday mornings and serves as Medical Director for the health center. She has a special interest in mental health issues. Her primary practice is at Applewood Family Medicine in Rockford. |

B.S., Calvin College; M.D., Michigan State University - College of Human Medicine Dr. Steen provides medical care to Calvin students on Friday mornings. She specializes in primary care and has an interest in attention deficit disorders. She also works at West Michigan Family Medicine in Grand Rapids, where she focuses on both family and maternal health care. Dr. Steen has made several medical mission trips to El Salvador with her church. |

| Dr. Kornoelje is a primary care physician within the Metropolitan Hospital system. He has expertise in sports medicine and is currently the team physician for the Calvin athletic teams as well as the Grand Rapids Griffins. His services are available at the health center on Thursdays for musculoskeletal problems as well as general medical concerns. | |||

M.D., Indiana University School of Medicine Dr. Mason is a family physician specializing in ADHD and provides services to Calvin students every-other Friday. Dr. Mason also works at the Behavioral Medicine Center, and has been in Grand Rapids for over 18 years. He is also an associate professor at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. |

Barb has been part of our Health Services staff since 1994. She has previous experience in hospital nursing. She currently coordinates services in our travel health and immunization department. She is a member of the Environmental Health and Occupational Safety Committee. She enjoys spending her time away from work with family and is an active member of LaGrave Ave. Christian Reformed Church. |

| Ellen graduated from the Calvin College/Blodgett Hospital nursing program. She has been with Health Services since 1990. Ellen works in travel health and helped develop the initial travel vaccination program. She worked at Blodgett Hospital prior to her tenure at Calvin. Kristie graduated from the Calvin College/Hope Nursing program in 1990. She previously worked as an inpatient nurse on surgical and oncology floors. For the past 10 years, she enjoyed staying home with her three children and traveling with her family. Kristie will split her time at the Health Center, working both in the Primary Care Clinic and with the Travel Health office. |

| Florence divides her time between nursing and our front desk. She assists providers with patient-related care three days a week and has receptionist responsibilities two days a week. Before coming to Calvin, Florence worked in OB/GYN office practices in Pennsylvania and Grand Rapids. She received her nursing diploma from the Mercer County Career Center in Pennsylvania. | |||

"Sugar" (as she prefers to be called) has been working with Health Services since 2002. After attending Calvin College and graduating from the Pine Rest School of Nursing, she worked in a variety of nursing areas (hospital intensive care and outpatient urology and family practices). She assists the clinicians in our primary care clinic. |

| Joan has a B.A. from Calvin (1970) in elementary education with a Science Studies major. She worked in physicians' offices for 20 years prior to joining our Health Services staff in 1998 as a department assistant. | Rachel graduated from Calvin in 2001 with a B.A. in Religion and Spanish. She is a department assistant in the Immunizations and Insurance office and helps coordinate the student health insurance program. She and Kelly Moore (see below) handle billing, coding and insurance matters for the health center. Before coming to Health Services she worked for an insurance company in the areas of health and life insurance. | |||
