STUDENT HEALTH 101
Calvin Students and Parents now have access to Student Health 101 - a monthly newsletter designed for both students and parents concerned with health issues affecting college students today. (Issues like unhealthy diet and nutrition, depression, anxiety, fatigue, cold, flu and contagious diseases)

Calvin College Health Services hopes that by offering this publication to students and parents, we can better promote wellness to the Calvin community.

The Society for Adolescent Medicine (SAM) is a national organization dedicated to advancing the health and well-being of adolescents. It's website offers teans and parents a wealth of information about health-related services.

Check out SAM's The Healthy Student - a guide for parents of college students, with information about insurance, immunizations, conversation starters, and a checklist.

 

The Jed Foundation is a nonprofit public charity committed to reducing the youth suicide rate and improving the mental health safety net provided to college students nationwide. Their website offers tips for parents on the transition and adaptation to college life.
