Where can I find my electronic advice?
An advice is the modern version of the traditional “payroll stub”. It is a notice indicating the amount of money that was directly deposited into your specified bank account(s) each payroll. Other information included on the advice is the amount of taxes withheld from your paycheck, your net amount of pay, and your benefit deductions.
Where can I find my electronic advice? Your electronic advice and advice history can be found on Knightvision. After logging into Knightvision, select the “Resources” tab. Under "Resources" you will see a section titled "Online Pay Advices" with a link to "View Your Online Pay Advice." After clicking on the link you will be prompted to log in again and then will be taken to a page with the pay dates listed for the current year. Click on a date to view the advice for that date. To view an advice from a past year, select the desired year in the "Select Other Year" drop down box and click the "Submit" button.
You are able to print any of your current or past advices. Once you have an advice on your screen, select print from the file menu. Please note: You may need to go into "Preferences" on the print screen and under the "Basics" tab select "Landscape" orientation in order to get the entire advice to fit on the page.
Why did we switch to electronic advices? • This allows our employees to be able to view and print their current and past advices at their convenience. • Electronic advices conserve recourses by limiting the amount of paper and envelopes used every pay period. They also save personnel time as pickup and delivery is no longer necessary. • They allow our payroll office to process the payroll more efficiently and reduce costs.
Who receives electronic advices? All Calvin College employees with direct deposit will receive electronic advices.
Is my payroll information Secure? Access to Online Pay Advices uses your secure KnightVision account and password, and is transmitted using SSL encryption to secure your data. Don't forget, it is advisable to select strong passwords and remember to logout of KnightVision after you have finished viewing your online pay advice.
