All Calvin Meal Plans are handled through the Housing Office.
Meal Plans
A traditional meal plan is included as part of the room and board costs for every student living in the residence halls. Three meal plans are offered: 10, 15, or 21 meals per week. The 10-meal plan is not an option during the first semester for first-year students. In addition to the allotted meals per week, each meal plan features Bonus Bucks of $25, $50, or $75 per semester, depending on the meal plan selected. Bonus Bucks may be used at any of the food venues on campus.
Dining Dollars: Students may prefer to set up a Dining Dollars account where purchases are subtracted from the Dining Dollars account balance. Dollars can be added at most of our food venues. Dining Dollars can be used at all our food venues. We accept cash or checks, no credit cards at this time.
Calvin Credit: Students may also use their student I.D. card as a credit card to purchase food items at all food venues. Financial Services will add each purchase to the student’s Miscellaneous Charge statement, which is paid at the end of each month.
50 block meal plan: Is available for students who do not live on campus. The initial cost is $340.00. Additional 10 blocks are available at $68.00 each if more are needed during the semester. The 50 Block plan goes through Fall Semester and Interim. It starts back up (if you signed up for it) when Sring Semester begins.
The 50 Block Plan is not refundable after the first week of either semester, and unused meals at the end of each semester will be forfeited (Fall Semester plans will expire at the end of Interim). However, students discontinuing from Calvin College during the semester will receive a prorated refund based on the number of days remaining in the semester or a refund for the balance of unused meals, whichever is less.
50 Block charge will appear on the students miscellaneous account statement from the college.

Students who are currently enrolled but do not have a meal plan are invited to eat dinner Thursdays, 4:45-6 at the Commons and 6-8 at the Uppercrust, for a special low price of $3.75.
To take advantage of this offer you must:
1. One of you must pre-register at the Student Development office prior to Thursday night (their office is open 8-5 Monday thru Friday). They'll give you a stamped card granting you access at the reduced rate. Each week you'll need to pre-register. No stamped card, no deal.
2. You must enter the dining hall with a friend, roomate, teammate, ect--at least one other person. NO EXEPTIONS
Café Locations
For your convenience you may use your meals, Dining Dollars, Calvin Credit and 50 block plan at Johnny’s Café, Spoelhof Café, or from DeVos Grab-N-Go. You get to select from several different predetermined meal exchange combination specials. Note: Meal exchange does not work during interim break.
