Academic scholarships for students who entered Calvin in 2008 and prior years
The Calvin GPA used to determine scholarship renewal for returning students is the cumulative average at the end of interim. Incoming students have until the end of their first year (second semester) before their cumulative GPA will be reviewed for scholarship renewal.

The Calvin National Merit Scholarship is available for up to four years, as long as the recipient is continuously enrolled and in good academic standing at Calvin. National Merit Scholars are considered for a fifth year scholarship based on their cumulative grade point average.
If a student's entering GPA did not qualify for an academic scholarship at the time of admissions but his/her cumulative Calvin GPA at the end of the first year is 3.4 or above, that student will be considered for an academic achievement award the following year.
