INFORMED CONSENT
Greetings! We are scholars conducting a study of Protestant clergy across ten denominations. In collaboration with scholars from several institutions (see the FAQ for a list), the project is being sponsored by Calvin College’s Paul B. Henry Institute for the Study of Christianity and Politics. The survey is being conducted by the Calvin Center for Social Research (CSR). In 1989 and again in 2001, we surveyed clergy from ten denominations; we are doing so again in 2009 as a basis for comparison and contrast both across denominations and across time. The results of our study will appear in scholarly publications of various kinds; previous books in the series include The Bully Pulpit:  The Politics of Protestant Clergy (University of Kansas Press, 1997) and Pulpits and Politics:  Clergy in American Politics (Baylor University Press, 2004).
