October 6 - in the Calvin Commons Annex Alumni Association Board Room. Rodney Sadler, Ph D., from Union Theological Seminary and Presbyterian School of Christian Education, who will be on campus as the featured speaker for a cross-cultural engagement conference, shares insights from his book, Can A Cushite Change His Skin? An Examination of Race, Ethnicity, and Othering in the Hebrew Bible. Please RSVP by Tuesday, September 29.

November 3 - in the Calvin Theological Seminary Student Center. Neil Carlson, director of the Center for Social Research at Calvin College and co-author with Edwin Hernandez of a 2007 study of the value of congregations in Kent County, gives an update on Gatherings of Hope: How Religious Congregations Contribute to the Quality of Life in Kent County.

December 1 - in the Calvin Commons Annex Alumni Association Board Room. Rev. Wes Granberg-Michaelson, the general secretary of the Reformed Church in America, and Rev. Jerry Dykstra, executive director of Christian Reformed Church in North America discuss the challenges and opportunities of reforming Reformed denominations.
