Does Calvin have job postings that I can view?

Career development posts all jobs on CalvinLink. You can create "job search agents" (up to 10) that will e-mail you when jobs that meet your specifications are posted.

What is networking and how can it help me?

Networking is communicating with people you know to make connections that might lead to a job. Most jobs openings are never posted, so networking is one of the most effective means of finding employment and tapping into the "hidden" job market. Letting your mom's friend, your uncle, and your grandfather's half-brother know about your job search will empower these people to help you in your search. If you know of someone in your field of interest, be sure to contact that person for job search advice. For more information on networking, read our handout.

uknight-logouKnight offers an online networking directory for Calvin students (once they complete their freshman year) and alumni. Use uKnight to contact Calvin alumni who have agreed to share their professional and career-related advice.

linkedin is a popular professional networking site. Start your account today to connect with hundreds of professionals in your field! Connect with Calvin alumni by joining the Calvin College Alumni & Friends group.
