What is networking and how can it help me?
Networking is communicating with people you know to make connections that might lead to a job. Most jobs openings are never posted, so spreading the word that you're seeking a job is important. Letting your mom's friend, your uncle, and your grandfather's half-brother know about your job search will empower these people to help you in your search.
