How do career counselors partner with faculty?
Career counselors are available to present on the following topics:
•  Myers-Briggs personality/career assessment adminstration and interpretation
•  Resumes and cover letters
•  Job searching techniques
•  What can I do with a major in ____________?

  An Education student asked me to write a credential file recommendation. What should I do?
 

Please use the attached form to write the recommendation. Open the form, save it onto your desktop, fill it out, and send it to Career Development by attaching it to an email to edcareer@calvin.edu. You should include in what capacity you know the student and for how long. Also indicate the traits the student has that you have observed that you feel will make him/her a good teacher.

What about confidentiality?
These files are located on one of our secure drives. The only people who will have direct access to these files are a select few individuals in Career Development. Please note: students will receive a copy of their recommendations and their entire credential file.
