It is best that you store us as a contact in your cell phone before you need to call us. If you find yourself in an emergency, you may not have the time to look our number up.
Start by creating a new contact.First, add 616-526-6452 as our non-emergency contact number.
Next, add 616-526-3333 as our emergency contact number.
Once you have added both our emergency and non-emergency phone numbers, you are going to need to scroll down to where you can add an e-mail address for this contact. Type in 33333@calvin.edu. This will allow you to text message us if you can't call. In an emergency you can also use this e-mail address from your computer.
Even though we can receive e-mail and text messages sent to 33333@calvin.edu, it is always best to call and speak directly to the Campus Safety Department. This will insure the fastest response during an emergency.
Due to text message limitations, the Campus Safety Department may not be able to respond to your specific message, so it is imperative that you send enough information to initiate an officer response. Lastly, remember to silence your mobile device during an emergency if you think the sound may hinder your ability to stay safe.
