or attempted rape.

percent of these occur on dates.

- Alcohol is a factor in 100% of gang rapes.
- In seventy-five percent of the sexual assaults, either the victim,
the assailant, or both were using and/or abusing alcohol or other drugs.
- Five percent of the rape victims report the rape to the police.
- The majority of reported victims and offenders are of college age,
with the rape victimization highest among 16-19 year olds.
- The risk of rape is four times higher for those aged 16 to 24 than
for any other age group.
