This session explores the very diffe rent answers often given to the question 'What does it mean to be Reformed?' The concert choir of Calvin College, the Capella, is composed of advanced singers from all areas of study. The choir gives a major concert at the clo se of each semester in addtion to annual tours and participation in area church services. The Capella has toured extensively both in the United States and Europe. In 1986 the Capella had the opportunity to work with English composer John Rutter. After con ducting the choirs at Calvin College, Rutter said, "It was an extraordinary pleasure to work with the excellent choirs of Calvin College. Their vocal expertise, musicianship and ocmmitment revealed a high standard of training such as I rarely encount er in my many conducting visits. They are musicians and artists of rare caliber."

Ehlers will present the Calvin College Hekman Library with a commemorative plaque from the Government Printing Office. Refreshments for the occasion wi ll be a sampler of treats made from recipes found in government documents.
Designation as a federal depository library is a distinction allowed to only two libraries in any given congressional district. The Hekman Library gained federal depository sta tus in 1967 through the invitation of Gerald R. Ford, then congressman of the 5 th District where Calvin's Franklin campus was located. Currently, the Hekman serves the 3 rd District, which became the college's home with the move to the Knollcrest campus.
