15993 Controlling China's Pollution Nagle, John Copeland 3/16/2009 China's remarkable economic growth has resulted in the nation having the worst environmental problems in the world. The country*s air pollution kills thousands of Chinese residents each year and injures many more. Although the central Chinese government is committed to remedying the problem, the enforcement of anti-pollution laws has been surprisingly ineffective. At the same time, China has become the world*s leading emi tter of the greenhouse gases that contribute to climate change., with no regulatory restrictions imposed.
Dr. Nagle will address both aspects of China's pollution problems, the efforts of the Chinese government and international organizations to co mbat those problems, and how the broader idea of pollution may lead to more successful results in the future.

And if so, how does the historical novelist writ e to two time periods: the period of the novel and the present? Bookstore (college) : Available for sale.

#101 BAPTISM WHEN: INFANCY OR LATER?
Dr. Bob Nienhuis, Associate Provost and Biblical studies professor at Cornerstone University, and John Witvliet of Calvin College and Seminary consider the symbolism of baptism when practiced at infancy and at an age of volition. Is there room for both understandings? As switching denominations becomes more common, many Christians are finding themselves confronted with an understanding of baptism they've never considered before.

14555 Plenary #4: Luis Noda Noda, Luis 2/2/2008 The sustainability of development actions is a high desired goal from the beginning of any project or program. However, this is an element that does not come spontaneously u nless it is planned for and foreseen. But, what do we mean by sustainability? In my professional experience working in development projects and programs, sustainability has to do with the local context, institutional settings, ownership and participation of beneficiaries. Moreover, under a Christian perspective, sustainability has to do with personal beliefs, attitudes and actions (behavior change) that shape the final result of development efforts.

14678 Acedia...Again Norris, Kathleen 4/19/2008 Few people today have encountered the word acedia, which literally means not-caring, or being unable to care—or even being unable to care that you don't care. In some ways, though, acedia defines today's culture, expressing itself as willful indifference, restless boredom, or even frantic busyness. Norris discusses both acedia and its opposite—the zeal that draws on faith, hope, and love. None : Archive/Available for Research
