14479 Youth, Formation, and Intergenerational Worship Edie, Fred; Mueller, Walt; Rogers Vann, Jane; Streaty Wimberly, Anne; Smith, Kathy 1/24/2008 Youth and worship. The topic generates a lot of passions-among youth, among their parents, among everyone in churches who loves and ministers to youth. This session-which is built largely around panel presentations and group discussions-will work on refining a list of the most strategic questions each local congregation should be asking and a list of the "10 Most Helpful Proverbs" to guide local communities in appr oaching this topic with insight. This session is especially for those involved in youth ministry and worship, including pastors, youth pastors, high school teachers, and worship team leaders and participants. Youth pastors and high school chapel leaders a re encouraged to come with two or three young people from their churches or schools, so that the dialogue includes them as well. 10696 How About Harry Potter? Ehlers, Marla; Liebenthal, Ed; Weaver, Karen
#104 HOW ABOUT HARRY POTTER? Most children need help choosing a diet that will make their bodies grow strong; do they need similar guidance in choosing food for their minds ? Although the commotion about the Harry Potter books has died down, the ethical questions remain about the responsibilities adults have regarding what children read. How can they guide children to make wise decisions? This week's episode of Inner Compass features Karen Weaver of Jenison Junior High, children's librarian Marla Ehlers, and parent/school board member Ed Liebenthal.

13670 Joe Ehrmann: Live at Calvin College Ehrmann, Joe 1/12/2006 Joe Ehrmann and "Building Men for Others" are convinced that one of the greatest crises in America centers on the issue of masculinity and its correlating theme s of boyhood, manhood, husbandry and fatherhood.
The convergence of his experience as a pastor, child advocate, professional speaker, former NFL football player and high school coach, and years of working with men have prepared Joe to address this c risis.

14654 Where Falsehoods Dissolve: Memory as Witness Eire, Carlos 4/18/2008 Memory may be an imperfect record of the past, but it is nonetheless the most immediate and reliable connection that every individual has to his or her own history. When it comes to great historical events—especially in cases where great injustices have taken place—personal memory can provide valuable testimony against all attempts to deny or distort the truth. Eire explores the advantages and perils of relying o n memory as eyewitness testimony against injustice. Campus Store (college) : Available for sale.
