The Religion Department at Calvin shares a vision that is neither fundamentalistic nor liberal, and certainly not secular. We offer an undergraduate program that stands unembarrassed by Biblical heritage. We are also deeply committed—through faith in the goodness of God’s creation—to the honest engagement of culture, and to be engaged by it at the points where the light of truth shines through it! We seek to help students to establish a Christian perspective and presence in culture that leads, influences, and gives direction in a confusing age.
