Pre-Physician Assistant
Providing Accessible, Quality Health Care

Students in class

As a relatively new member of today’s health care team, the physician assistant works as an extension of a physician’s service to provide quality health care. With concerns about the cost of quality health care, the role of the physician assistant is expanding. The physician assistant is often the first, and perhaps the only, health care professional to personally interact with a patient seeking treatment.

Persons with excellent communication skills and a strong background in the natural sciences are highly sought after to enter this challenging field. Because of the nature of the work, the physician assistant interacts with patients on a personal level and can meaningfully demonstrate Christian caring and commitment.
