Speech pathologists study speech and language disorders in order to facilitate healthy communication. As Christians, we are called to serve; speech pathology is one concrete way we are able to help rehabilitate those who struggle with issues ranging from speaking to swallowing to interpreting language.
Calvin's speech pathology and audiology program combines rigorous coursework with clinical experiences in our state-of-the-art laboratory facilities to prepare you for your career. At Calvin, you'll also have the unique option of completing our five-year masters program in speech pathology.

Join the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association; study international dialects in England, Scotland and Ireland; assist a professor with communication research over a summer; volunteer at local hospitals and schools.
Students entering the program in September of 2012 must apply to the MA program after completing several prerequisite courses (see Admission Information), earn at least a 3.3 (B+) average every semester across all of courses, and earn at least a 3.3 (B+)in every SPAUD course. Students must also meet the essential functions required for professional practice (see FAQs).
