At Calvin, we believe that all good writing leads to truth. Learn what it means to be a Christian writer through our interdisciplinary journalism minor.

Overview

Journalism at Calvin is an interdisciplinary that will help you develop technical skills in writing and an understanding of journalism and its role in society. The minor features courses on a variety of topics, including feature journalism, photography and documentaries. Additionally, all journalism minors at Calvin are required to complete a semester-long internship experience.

Student involvement

Study abroad in England, Hungary, Ghana or New England; Participate in biannual, department-wide retreats; Write or help to coordinate Chimes or Dialogue; Attend the Festival of Faith and Writing; Volunteer for the Youth Writing Festival.
