This course serves as the gateway course for the music major/minor and will help music students to recognize the many roles that music plays in human life and to evaluate them in light of human flourishing and Christian discipleship, appreciating the skills, knowledge, disciplines, attitudes, and virtues needed to become effective musical servants. Prerequisites: basic skill in reading music notation, at least three years of high school ensemble/chamber/solo music performance experience, and/or permission of the instructor.
