Data analysis, data collection, random sampling, experimental design, descriptive statistics, probability, random variables and standard distributions, Central Limit Theorem, statistical inference, hypothesis tests, point and interval estimates, simple linear regression. Examples will be chosen from a variety of disciplines. Computer software will be used to display, analyze and simulate data. Prerequisite: Mathematics 162 or 172.
