KIN-328   Advanced Practices in Exercise Science

An in-depth survey of clinical exercise physiology, exercise pathophysiology, and biomechanics. Emphasis will be placed on resting and exercise electrocardiography, health and fitness appraisal and exercise prescription for specific populations (adults, pregnancy, the elderly) and disease modalities (cardiovascular, pulmonary, neuromuscular, orthopedic, cancer) and advanced biomechanical skills in sport skills and motion analysis. The course incorporates significant lab work, research and analysis. Prerequisite: junior standing, Physical Education 213, Physical Education 325, or permission of instructor.
