This course prepares students to set up and administer TCP/IP, Linux, and/or Microsoft networks. Topics include network protocols such as TCP/IP; networking hardware including wiring, interface, hubs, switches and routers; proxies; security and firewalls; social, legal and ethical issues. Prerequisite: Information Systems 271 or Computer Science 108.
